Healthy smoothie recipes that are crazy good!

His Majesty – the smoothie! I don’t know about you guys, but i simply loooove smoothies and i offer you healthy smoothie recipes that are crazy good! They are delicious, practical, easy to make, very healthy and somehow give us total freedom and licentiousness of taste. Smoothies are an incredible “vitamin bombs” that help us to lose weight, detoxify our body making our skin looks smoother and younger and our hair and nails to become stronger. Many diets are based on smoothies as they are usually low in calories except when you add nuts or some other foodstuff that are high in calories.

Smoothies are an excellent replacement for breakfast as they include all the important nutrients and enough calories to keep you full till lunch. Here i am presenting a few uncommon healthy smoothie recipes, that are very easy to make and their taste is amazing! To make most of them i have chosen organic fruits with stronger colour, which means they have a lot of antioxidants and better for health.

  “Purple revolution” 

Smoothie recipe with blueberries, plums, apple and walnuts.

150 g blueberries,

150 g plums,

1 small apple,

20 – 30 g walnuts,

1 small spoon flax seeds,

100 g milk and

honey or any natural sweetener (as per your wish).

Calories: 370 kcal.

Put all the ingredients in your blender and mix it for 20-30 seconds.

I didn’t use too much honey, because i like my smoothies to be less sweet, but you can add more honey or any other natural sweetener such as stevia or maple syrup as per your wish (please do not add sugar). I used frozen organic wild blueberries and plums, but you can use fresh ones from the market.

Why is awesome: Blueberries are the best-known source of antioxidants that keep your body cells from bad materials and prevent cancer. Also, they are a good source of vitamin B, C, E as well as fibre.

Plums, apple and flax seeds are very first defence in keeping your cells functioning as well as improving digestion.

Walnuts are having a good amount of vitamins E, B, Omega 3 and do a lot for the regeneration of brain cells.

“High-Protein” smoothie

1 small banana ( i always choose the one with dots, because it’s sweeter),

100 gr milk or soya milk,

20-30 grams of peanuts (or one tbsp of peanut butter),

one small spoon of coconut flour,

One scoop of protein shake (optional).

Calories: 450 kcal.

This is a protein “bomb”, as there are around 35 grams of protein who are important for muscle growth. The protein supplement is optional because in the rest of ingredients there is enough protein, but if you go to a gym or you are on a low-calorie diet you can feel free to add a protein shake.

Try this recip: Besides the protein, banana and milk are good sources of calcium and potassium – main minerals that your bones and teeth are made from. Peanuts and coconut flour are extremely rich in many essential nutrients: proteins, high-quality fats, minerals and vitamins. Honey keeps our immune system invulnerable and it’s also a very nice source of vitamin B.

“Pink Rhapsody”

Beetroot smoothie recipe with raspberries, beetroot, milk, carrots.

100 g raspberries,

100 g beetroot,

100 g milk,

50 g carrots,

1 small apple

1 tbsp honey.

Mix everything for around one 1 minute or more because beetroot needs more time to be milled. This is low-calory yet very healthy smoothie recipe with only 260 kcal.

Why is good: Beetroot is loaded with vitamins and minerals such as potassium, calcium, manganese and many more. There are all vitamins from B group which are all important regeneration of our skin, hair as well as saving nerves. Vitamin C in the beet helps building red blood cells, improves circulation so it is recommended to people suffering from anaemia.

Raspberries are rich in vitamin C and antioxidants which are main protection in preventing inflammation processes in our body helping cells to regenerate. Raspberries consist good amount of fibre making our digestion working smoothly. They are low in calories thus very popular in diets.

Carrots are rich in beta-carotene, potassium and in antioxidants that make our skin look younger and well protected. Carrots are good at lowering cholesterol and improving our eyesight and teeth.

Honey is the best antibacterial, antivirus therapy helping our immune system to remain a well protected and amazing source of many other good vitamins and minerals. If you are lactose intolerant then a good replacement for milk is soya milk in making this smoothie.

“Choco smoothie”

Choco-smoothie is very healthy smoothie recipe with a taste of dark chocolate which is one of my favourite recipes.

1 medium frozen banana,

20 g peanuts or one spoon peanut butter

150 g soya milk

1 tbsp cocoa powder

1 tbsp honey

Calories: 350 kcal.

Mix everything together around 1 min.

Benefits: As mentioned before, banana is a great source of potassium and produces hormone serotonin that makes sure we are happy. Regular use of banana reduces muscle cramps at the athletes, thanks to the magnesium.

Honey is the main food for immune system protection and helps wounds to heal faster. Soya milk (unsweetened) is rich in proteins, iron and other significant minerals and vitamins.

Peanuts contain a lot of proteins and minerals improving the cardiovascular system. Pure cacao is also rich in materials that help our cells to function well. Thanks to a large number of antioxidants in cacao regular use of it prevent cancer and inflammatory diseases by enhancing our immune system.

Healthy smoothie recipes for glorious beauty

Making smoothies is very fun as you can experiment with the ingredients changing the taste every time. I don’t support strict diets as it is important for our physical and mental health to eat all food categories (proteins, carbs, fat) but i strongly believe that smoothies are detoxifying the body, ejecting all the bad materials by improving our digestion. The positive results are a slimmer body, smooth face skin, stronger nails and beautiful hair.
